This picture was taken in 2008, the year I developed this website. I was born in 1946, married in 1973 and my divorce was finalized in 2006 after a 2 year separation and not too amicable divorce settlement. I laugh now and that's a good thing:) I tell you this because everyone wants to know the nitty gritty behind the person. I used this picture deliberately because it shows beyond a doubt the happiness and love of life that I still feel to this date.
As a child and young adult I loved to draw and write. It was my forte in school. Math and sciences - not so much. I entered nursing school in 1965 and retired May 2010 after 3 years of training and 42 years working as a Registered Nurse. My experience as nurse was varied but predominately in smaller rural hospitals throughout rural Northern Alberta Canada. I have seen much that is joyful and much that is painful in life. In that entire 45 year period I never once woke up in the morning and said "I don't want to go to work". The night I did, I handed my resignation in the following day. I have no regrets.
As a nurse who has sat at the bedside of countless dying people I find it impossible to doubt for one second the existence of something beyond death. I have always been interested in the spiritual side of life and what lies beyond our borders, but I pushed it to the back burner for many years. Following my separation, I jumped back in "with all four feet", as my parents would say. I believe strongly that we are guided by spirit and we are accompanied by higher beings to help us through this somewhat tumultuous existence.
Creative expression is an integral part of the human condition. We simply express it in whatever way is in harmony with who we are. It can be a healing tool for the creator as well as the individuals with whom it is shared. The poetry and the art you will encounter on this website reflect my attitude towards life and were part of my healing and return to "self". Sometimes I had no idea where it came from but I think that is not uncommon for most artistic expression. There is always a deeper meaning and each individual will interpret it in whatever manner is right for them.
I love to travel and have met many fine people from all cultures and walks of life in the past 7 years. Each one has had a special reaon for appearing in my life and I thank them all. We are here to be of service to our fellow man and, as you will see, perhaps that service can be even more far-reaching than one first realizes. Many of the people I met have been of great assistance to me. I hope I have reciprocated in kind.

This photo was taken Oct 23,2011 with my new friend Joan. on my 6 week tour of Italy. I am still loving my life and all the people I meet along the way. I spent a week with Sam D'Ambruoso and a group of painters and the rest of the journey I was on my own. The Leaning Tower of Pisa, Trevi Fountain and Venice have now been struck from my list of places to visit in this lifetime. It is an exciting life we are offered!!!
